Saif-ul-Malook is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley, near the town of Naran in the Saif-ul-Malook National Park. At an elevation of 3,224 m above sea level, the lake is located above the tree line, and is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan.
lake is named after Prince Saif-ul-Muluk, who fell in love with a fairy from the mountains. At 10,500 feet, Lake Saif-ul-Muluk is surrounded by impressive snow clad mountains and crowned by the summit of Malika Parbat (Queen of the Mountains). The highest peak in Kaghan Valley, the majestic Malika Parbat has a height of 5291 meters. Words cannot describe the beauty and serenity of the setting and picture postcards do no justice.
The crystalline waters of Lake Saiful Muluk reflecting the surrounding snow-covered mountains is an image that must be seen in person. There are several ways to reach the lake. Along the side of the valley to the east of Naran, a 10-kilometer track leads through a picturesque valley. A jeep can be rented in the bazaar and driven up in one hour, or the more adventurous can walk to a small glacier about 3 km up and hire a pony for the trip. Walking the entire way is also an option, and takes about three hours for the 8 km trek. This option is only for those who are fit enough to climb about 3000 feet in eight kilometers. There are several good trekking opportunities from Lake Saiful Muluk.
The lake is famous around the world for its scenic beauty, clear water that reflect the mountains above and the story for which the lake is known for. Millions of tourists visit this lake every year.
The Lake Saif-ul-Malook is named after a legendary prince. A fairy tale called Saif-ul-Malook, written by the Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, talks of the lake. It tells the story of the Egyptian Prince Saif-ul-Malook who fell in love with a fairy princess named Princess Badri-ul-Jamala at the lake.
This Lake is very famous among families, as it offers a lot of fun activities to do during their stay, families can stay at naran valley then come to visit the lake while some prefer to camp out near the lake.
Both demographics can enjoy visiting here, from camping, swimming, boating to horse/ pony rides are available.
سیف الملوک جھیل
سیف الملوک ایک پہاڑی جھیل ہے جو سیف الملوک نیشنل پارک میں ناران شہر کے قریب وادی کاغان کے شمالی سرے پر واقع ہے۔ سطح سمندر سے 3,224 میٹر کی بلندی پر، جھیل درختوں کی لکیر کے اوپر واقع ہے، اور پاکستان کی بلند ترین جھیلوں میں سے ایک ہے۔

یہ جھیل اپنی قدرتی خوبصورتی، صاف پانی جو اوپر کے پہاڑوں کی عکاسی کرتی ہے ۔ ہر سال لاکھوں سیاح اس جھیل کا رخ کرتے ہیں۔
جھیل سیف الملوک کا نام ایک مشہور شہزادے کے نام پر رکھا گیا ہے۔ سیف الملوک نامی ایک پریوں کی کہانی جو صوفی شاعر میاں محمد بخش نے لکھی ہے۔ اس میں مصری شہزادے سیف الملوک کی کہانی بیان کی گئی ہے جو جھیل پر شہزادی بدری الجمالہ نامی پریوں کی شہزادی سے پیار کر گیا تھا۔
یہ جھیل خاندانوں میں بہت مشہور ہے، کیونکہ یہ اپنے قیام کے دوران بہت ساری تفریحی سرگرمیاں پیش کرتی ہے، خاندان ناران وادی میں ٹھہر سکتے ہیں پھر جھیل کی سیر کے لیے آ سکتے ہیں جب کہ کچھ جھیل کے قریب کیمپ لگانے کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں۔ کیمپنگ، تیراکی، کشتی رانی سے لے کر گھوڑے کی سواری دستیاب ہے۔
